Training & Professional Accomplishments

Karin attended Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts in Natick, Massachusetts, as a dance major, returning to Wisconsin to attend college. She received her Bachelor of Science in education in 1989 and her Master of Science in communicative disorders in 1991 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Karin worked over 10 years as a speech-language pathologist in school and clinic settings in Wisconsin and Tucson and served on TMC HealthCare’s board of directors as their first non-physician clinical provider. Karin’s desire to expand her medical knowledge and broaden her impact on the health and well-being of others prompted her to further her education, yet again, and in 2002, she completed her Bachelor of Medical Science in physician assistant studies, with honors, at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. 

 

After graduation, PA Myers worked as a hospitalist in internal medicine at Tucson Medical Center. Although she loved working there, when asked to join a newly formed dermatology practice in 2005, she couldn’t turn down the opportunity to establish long-lasting relationships with patients and explore the world of dermatology.

In October 2020, Karin joined Foothills Dermatology & Plastic Surgery and was thrilled to be teamed up with former colleagues Dr. Orlick and Dr. Powell and bring her 15+ years of dermatology experience to their team.

Family & Personal Interests

Karin spends her time away from the office hiking, reading, being in nature and with her husband, a native Tucsonan, her 2 children, their pets, and family and friends.

License & Board Certification

Karin maintains her license and certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and the Arizona Board of Medicine.
